Please note that there will be street closures in downtown Huntsville starting Wednesday, Sept. 21 to accommodate set up for Big Spring Jam 18. Village of Promise Announces Focus Neighborhood

After thorough data analysis, many meetings with community partners and organizations, and much thoughtful reflection, the Village of Promise has decided on the neighborhood surrounding University Place Elementary School to build a pipeline of programs to combat poverty and raise standards of living. The neighborhood’s boundaries are all major thoroughfares: Sparkman Drive to the West, Holmes Avenue to the South (including the Sparkman Homes Huntsville Housing Authority (HHA) community), Pulaski Pike to the East, and Oakwood Avenue/Rutledge Drive to the North.
